I think the game ReadMe suggests 800x600. I run mine on 800x600 but after a few people said to try 1024x768 I switched -boy was that a mistake for me, my fps went way down and quick as a flash I re-set my res back to 800x600

How come I can play Oblivion with everything turned up high but in NWN2, which already looks dated, I have to turn stuff down?

1. Uninstall X-FIRE. It's incompatible with NWN2, and is now a known issue. Unfortunately it may be installed during NWN2 setup so a lot of people inadverdently have it on their systems. You may also have it installed from earlier. Obsidian has posted a message saying they are working with X-FIRE on a resolution. (the effects of having this installed? A big framerate hit! So get rid of it pronto!)
2. Reduce rez to 1024x768
3. Turn off all shadows completely ("Off")
4. Turn off Water Reflections
5. Set textures to MEDIUM. If already at Medium, change to LOW
6. Turn off Water Refractions
Try each of things mentioned above one-by-one until you reach a good level of performance

. il faut une bécane de compétition pour faire tourner des graphiques qui commencent deja a dater (par opposition à Oblivion
. l'interface a changé mais pas du tout dans une direction intuitive
. le manuel fourni fait 23 pages (pour la VO hein, pour la VF, c'est un PDF de 23 pages)
. (si j'ai bien compris) caméra en Drive mode obligatoire
...
. je n'ai pas encore trouvé de commentaire vantant la qualité de l'aventure (en parlant même seulement, tout tourne autour de l'interface et de la configuration requise...)

Obisidian reste donc, en ce qui me concerne, dans la catégorie des boîtes qui rachètent un jeu sous licence (avec son moteur graphique et tout) et qui pondent une suite bancale.
